After you delete Tapita Page Builder app from your Shopify store, all the pages that you built with Tapita will remain in your store and function as normal.
However, in case you want to delete the pages that you built as well, along with any Tapita assets left, you need to do some extra steps. This guide will tell you exactly how to do that.
Delete Tapita pages
In Shopify Admin > Online Store > Pages, select the pages that you want to remove and click More actions > Delete pages.
Remove Tapita code files
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit code.
Here we will search for these 2 files under Templates folder:
- index.liquid or index.json
- page.liquid or page.json
From the search bar, type “index“. Click on the index.liquid or index.json file that comes up under Templates and click Delete file.
You will notice that there is another “index” file containing “.tapitabk.old”. Rename this file to remove the “.tapitabk.old” part.
Do the same steps with page.liquid/page.json.
Then, search for “tapita” and delete all files.
